Ongoing Activities

Through a thoroughly-calculated media relations campaign, slightly more than 2.2 million media impressions were earned across print and broadcast local, national and international media during the summer 2008. Media outlets covering the program included Univision 62, Univision Radio, Univision National's Despierta América and Primer Impacto, Fox 7 and News 8 Austin.

Organizations

As health care costs keep rising during a recovering, yet-still-weak economy and legislators continue the debate on health care reform, the Wallace Mallory Clinic continues helping underserved Austinites who are still facing a stark reality: loss of wages, unemployment and the rising cost of specialized medical care. The ongoing media relations campaign keeps bringing patients to the Wallace Mallory Clinic, generating thousands of media impressions on a regular basis.

Events

Following a strategic media relations campaign, 882,000 media impressions were earned across print, broadcast and social media in November 2009. Media outlets covering the event included ¡Ahora Sí!, El Mundo, the Austin America-Statesman, News 8 Austin, KEYE and KVUE. Social media tools included YouTube, Flickr, Twitter and Facebook.
